bios

Owen Hughes (Resident Designer)is a lighting designer. He splits his time fairly evenly between the worlds of dance and theatre. For Andhow! Theater Co. he has designed Tennessee Times Two, I am at my Best…, Boo! & Kissing Myself, and Non-D. Other credits include Ken Nintzel's Pageant and the Reverend Billy's Other Love (Ontological Theatre). Also at the Ontological, he has designed the annual Seven Minute Series (2002, 2003) and the Blueprint Series (2003). Regional work includes Stranger in an Alien Land (Adirondack Theatre Festival). In dance, he has designed for Eiko & Koma, Peggy Baker, Roseanne Spradlin, Netta Yerushalmy, Marta Miller, Catey Ott & Eun Jung Gonzalez, Juliette Mapp, and others. As a Production Manager, he has worked for the Ontological-Hysteric Theatre and the Foundry Theater and has toured to festivals throughout Europe and Asia. He was awarded a Visual Design Bessie Award in 2003.
